1. Charette

Charrettes are meetings where groups of individuals collaboratively design a solution to a problem. These groups are used in many disciplines including architecture and urban planning. Typically meetings take place over several days and may include a range of stakeholders, for example local authority officers, developers, designers and residents. These meetings are often intense in their nature but are designed to promote a sense of joint ownership of the problem solving process and result.
