1. LSPs

Local strategic partnerships (LSPs) are non-statutory bodies that bring together the different parts of the public, private, voluntary and community sectors working at a local level. The lead player in an LSP is a local authority and other players include the police and primary care trust. The LSP ensures the different organisations work together to deliver services more effectively.

The LSP operates at a strategic level but remains close enough to local people to allow them to be involved in decisions that affect local communities.
